Why Middle East Customers Order from Bangladesh
The Gulf region hosts millions of Bangladeshi expats — Saudi Arabia alone has over 2 million. Plus the wider population (Indian, Pakistani, Filipino) interested in South Asian goods. Most of my Middle East customers come for:
- Eid and Ramadan shopping — gifts, sweets, panjabi, hijabs, religious items
- Wedding shopping — sarees, lehenga, bridal accessories for diaspora weddings
- Bangladeshi food — pickles, dried fish, biscuits, sweets, panch phoron
- Specific medicines familiar from home
- Books — Bangla, Arabic, Islamic literature from Dhaka publishers
- Gifts to send to relatives back home via the same trusted agent

- Bangladesh shops get crowded approaching Eid — earlier = better selection
- Customs delays are more common during peak Eid shipping season
Middle East Customer FAQ
How does payment work for Middle East customers?
PayPal works in UAE and most Gulf countries. Wise is also available in most. bKash works if you're a Bangladeshi expat with active bKash. Read my payment guide.
What about the time zone for communication?
Bangladesh is GMT+6. UAE/KSA is GMT+3 — only 2-3 hours behind me. Almost always I can reply to your WhatsApp message during your business hours.
Can I order in bulk for resale?
I serve personal-use customers. For commercial bulk orders, customs treatment is different and may require import licensing in your country. Contact me to discuss specific bulk needs.
Will customs hold my package?
Rarely for personal-use Bangladeshi items. Most Gulf customs officers are familiar with Bangladeshi expat shipments and process them quickly. Saudi Arabia is strictest — anything ambiguous may trigger inspection (which is normal, not a problem).
